FEATURED WOOD GALLERY & MUSEUM

A lifetime of working with wood and a passion for collecting has resulted in the creation of the Featured Wood Gallery and Museum in Australind. The museum is a labour of love for owner John Ablett, who has spent more than 35 years gathering an eclectic collection of antique, heritage and other collectibles from Australia and around the world. It is a hidden gem which showcases a wide variety of craft and furniture pieces made on the premises or there is a range of artwork in different mediums by local artisans from the region. Tourists love the small unique craft items to take home and remind them of this magnificent part of Australia. The Museum focuses on Australian and American History, where there is larger than life displays on Ned Kelly, Gallipoli, Woodworking, Local Aboriginals, American Indians, the Bunbury Jetty and the US Civil War. It really is a fascinating collection of snippets from history displayed for you to see.
